DOING IT MILITARY STYLE

Hey curvy girls,
I had been searching for a cute denim jacket to wear with a few of my prim and proper dresses. I wanted to add a youthful look to them. I know I could have bought an ordinary cropped denim jacket, but, I wanted something with more pizazz. The other day, I scored this great denim military jacket at the GAP. It was the last one in an XL and I knew it was meant for me. I thought I was going to lose it because I spotted another curvy girl watching it too. We circled around the t-stand that it was hanging on like two lions in the jungle ready to fight. I knew I had to pounce on it before she could, so, I went in for the kill and snatched it up and walked away. I didn't want to look back because I knew she was probably rolling her eyes at me, but, I didn't care.
After walking away with the jacket, I thought to myself, damn, this better fit. Luckily, it did. To top off my score of this military jacket, I remembered I had one of those new coupons from the GAP where you get 40% off one full price item every Wednesday. I was filled with glee when I plunked down my jacket on the counter and handed the cashier the coupon and saw the price of the jacket lower from $79.50 to $47.70. Score!

What I'm Wearing
Dress: Banana Republic
Jacket: GAP
Shoes: Nine West
Necklace: H&M
Beat up Bag: DKNY

Love the jacket with the pearls and prissy dress! Great opposites! It's too hot in Texas to even think about wearing a jean jacket all day!

i like the dress. it reminds me of when i was obsessed with all things pink back in the days. the dress is cute but i love the jacket. but then again, i love most of what you show so either we're gonna have a lot of the same clothes or we'll be squaring off over a rack of clothes. challenge! nah, i'm just playing, lol.

@God's Favorite-LOL, I was feeling a little warm in it that day too, but, I was committed to the look. LOL!

@Asha-I don't mind at all Asha, we can definitely be twins. As for the GAP coupon, there is no code they were handing it out in the store.

I love the cut of that jacket. Its sort of more edgy that your regular 'ole denim jacket. And um, hot pink? yes please.
