Today we are fashionated by fellow curvy girl Wendy Williams. We love the pink ruffled neck dress, but, we think the hair takes away from the beauty of the dress. It would have been nice to see her with a shorter wig or maybe her hair pinned up.

Hey curvy girls,
Last night I came across some great curvy girl news while reading Stylelist. Crystal Renn is the hottest plus size model in the world and right now she is about to become even hotter. According to Stylelist and WWD.com Crystal Renn will be covering the June issue of Glamour magazine with Victoria's Secret model, Alessandra Ambrosio and Sports Illustrated model Brooklyn Decker.
According to WWD.com-WWD has learned that Matthias Vriens-McGrath shot Alessandra Ambrosio, Brooklyn Decker and Crystal Renn on the Caribbean island over the weekend for the cover of Glamour’s June issue. Judging from some TwitPics posted by Decker and Ambrosio, the theme of the shoot involved fun in the sun, with the trio lounging in swimsuits and showing plenty of skin.
I was already a fan of Glamour magazine and appreciated them for always showing real women whether they were a size 2 or 22. I am even more excited that there is a possibility that Crystal will be in a swimsuit next to fairly slim well known models and I know her curves are going to shine. I can't wait to see more pics.

Hey curvy girls,
Today I was cruising the ASOS site and found this super cute mac jacket. I love the pale pink color. It has corseted detail on the back and flares out at the hip. You know, I will be ordering one this week.
It comes in both Misses and Plus Sizes. I truly love when a clothing company caters to all sizes and offers the same styles in all sizes.

I am so excited about the 50 degree weather that NYC is receiving now. Finally, a break from the snow and the freezing temperatures. I decided to wear a flirty ruffle skirt today to the office. I saw this black & white striped skirt on the Faith21 site and thought it was pretty cute. I chose to pair it with a black blazer to make it office appropriate.
So many people think if you are extra curvy on the bottom that you should stick to simple cuts and designs because it draws attention. I think that you should go with what looks good. Always dress according to how you are feeling.
You know, I can't go anywhere without a pop of color, so, I had to throw on my burgundy suede platform pumps to make it standout.

Sunday I was on my way home from Jersey and on the Brooklyn R train I spotted this casually dressed cute curvy girl. I kept staring at her because she had this head full of long curly hair and such a cute face. I just had to go over to her and ask to take her picture. Luckily she allowed me to. I thought she had on a great weekend outfit for shopping and errands.
Since the weather in NYC is starting to warm up she layered a maroon colored vest over a gray cardigan paired with a white scarf, leggings and grey flat boots.
What do you guys think about her outfit?

one of the things I hate the most is when celebrity stylist and a few t.v. hosts constantly tell plus size curvy girls to wear a-line skirts. It drives me crazy because they make it seem like it's the only skirt that is flattering for those of us with a little more body than the regular straight size 2's and 4's. As a curvy girl with full child bearing hips, I purchase more pencil skirts than anything else (you've seen my cobalt blue one). I feel like a pencil skirt shows off my curvy hips in a sexy and chic way. So, if you feel like you can't wear a pencil skirt because your hips are too big, I am here to tell you that you can. Omit what some magazines and stylist tell you. A pencil skirt on a plus size body is a sexy thing.

My ultimate favorite blog to read everyday is nymag's fashion blog. I mainly like to read because of the funny honest comments other people leave. Today, I was reading and I came across this article that Zac Posen said it was always a dream to dress a size 16. What! Who knew? Well, I am very pleased to hear this because some designers act like anything above a 12 is grotesque. Zac has a new line called Z spoke that recently launched in Saks Fifth Avenue stores. The line is lower priced from about $80-$675.
Here's an excerpt from the article:
"It's a dream of my life to be able to make a collection that can work for so many different kinds of women," he told us. "This is about dressing America." While his runway pieces run up to a size 12 in stores, Z Spoke, which Saks Fifth Avenue stocks exclusively, includes up to a size 14 for the spring/summer collection, and will expand to include size 16 for fall 2010. Is this a reaction to the emphasis on curves lately? Perhaps. But according to Posen, it's just a matter of confronting reality. "It means we're able to really address our planet. And how women are and look, and really make a difference

Italian Vogue just relaunched its website with a section called Vogue Curvy.
After reviewing the site, the Vogue Curvy section is showcasing the best clothes in plus size fashion. They offer a video blog by a well known french plus size blog called "Saks in the city." The video blogs will feature stores that cater to the curvy girl. You will find other sections titled Glam and Curvy, Curvy Icon, and Curvy News which inform you about today's hottest curvy celebrities and models.
I am super excited about this. I told you curvy girls are on the rise. When will american Vogue hop on the band wagon?

Since it's been so cold and snowy, my mind can't even fathom swimwear right now. When I checked my email and saw that Torrid swimwear is now available. Looking at the pictures just makes me long for winter to be over. The suits are cute and girly. My favorite is the zebra print with the purple trimming. Oh, I can just imagine myself on the beach in Miami sipping on a mimosa with a sombrero.
