DKNY JEANS and MIRACLEBODY JEANS IN PLUS SIZES , By: Alissa

Hey curvy girls,
I was catching up on my monthly magazine reads and came across some great curvy girl denim news while reading People Style Watch. DKNY has a new plus size denim line with sizes ranging from 14W-24W. I said it before and I'll say it again, Donna Karan is one of my all time favorite designers along with Michael Kors. I feel like she has always made clothes for a curvy body. Even before other brands, she was carrying sizes 14 and 16. Last year she debuted her DKNYC line and included plus sizes and here she is again thinking about her curvy girls with this new plus size denim line. Let's just hope they fit well.

Check out Kourtney Kardashian showing off her new post baby curves in cargo pants, a v-neck tee, and wrapped platform sandals. I have to admit that the zebra clutch throws me off a little bit. Hooray! We finally have 100 followers. First, I want to say thank you so much for believing in this blog and allowing it to help you embrace your curves. Thank you for all your comments, good and bad. Thank you for passing this blog on to your friends and family. I would like to say a special thank you to The Budget Fashionista and Kathryn Finney for allowing me to be a contributor to your wonderful blog and for your great advice on blogging. BEST STYLISH CURVY CELEBRITY OF THE WEEK

Hey curvy girls,
Today I am adding a new post feature called "Best Stylish Curvy Celebrity of The Week." This feature will showcase a weeks worth of outfits from some of our favorite curvy celebrities. At the end of the month you guys will vote who had the best curvy girl style for that month.

Since March is over, we decided to choose Serena Williams for having the best curvy girl style for the month of March. Serena has been showing her softer girlie side with a touch of edginess. What I love about Serena is her spirit. Other blogs talk about how manly and overly muscular she looks and everytime I see pictures of her, she just looks great. I know she deals with her own body issues (didn't know that did you?) but she keeps it moving and her curves are always stylish.

BTW-I love her new doo, it's sexy and chic. One of those hair styles that instantly upgrades anything you wear.

CURVY GIRL NEWS: GUESS WHO'S HOSTING SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE?

If you thought her reign was over, think again. According to Essence.com, this month, Gabourey Sidibe will be hosting Saturday Night Live. Take that haters!

This is no surprise, because Gabourey has always said she would love to do comedy. I believe she said she wants to possibly be in a romantic comedy. Well SNL is the right place for her to show off her comedic chops and I hope she slam dunks it.

CURVY GIRL ESSENTIALS

Hey curvy girls,
Sometimes there are days when I wake up and I feel unpretty or bloated and I am in no mode to embrace anything curvy. Whenever I have those days I go to my closet and choose something from what I like to call, my curvy girls survival kit. I pick out a wrap dress and some oversized sunglasses and instantly I feel better and am ready to take on the day.

For those of you who are new to embracing your curves, I decided to come up with a list of classic pieces that every curvy girl should own to help you look your best on those days when you feel the worst.
