Fellow curvy girls Amber Riley and Jennifer Hudson both dawned corsets as tops. While we love Amber's sparkling corset we felt that Jennifer's looked a little too much like the top part of a girdle. Wearing corsets as part of an outfit is nothing new but seeing it on a couple of major celebs makes us wonder if this trend is making a return.

Yes, but with a blazer or jacket over it. I do not like to show a lot of skin (especially my arms). I think corsets are very slimming and sexy but can look a tad sleezy if worn alone..execept with with your BOO of course! lol Kiah
hmmm maybe...and thats a big maybe. I'm not into the corsets with the ties and lace, i think they push you toward wearing lingerie. i like J hud's, it's more of a tank kind.
I had a corset I used to wear to go to clubbing back in the days. It was a pricey one but I wish I woulda known better and like Kiah suggested worn a blazer with it. I was looking reckless. I still have it too. Last time I checked it didn't fit me :0

I'll have to agree with the maybe's...I would have to really be feeling myself to wear a corset top.
I think corset tops are cute with the right outfit but I don't like J Hud's (or her new body, she kinda looks like a bobble head). A corset top can really accentuate your waist and give a girl a great hourglass figure that might be less obvious in other clothes.
A few years ago, I scored a black beaded corset from Fredrick's of Hollywood for like $60. I wore it, and still would. Its all about how you style it. A white menswear button up (most buttons undone) and some denim, or some pinstripe wideleg slacks would definitely work. Top it off with a giant watch and small earrings, keep it subtle. Or a corset with a full, a-line skirt to balance out the shape is always a plus and is very pretty for a special event or a fancy dinner. Corsets are easier to wear than they seem to be! I have worn mine with and without something over it, and felt dynamic every time.
Do they come with extra padding for an adult woman with no boobies? LOLOL! If so yes. I want to have clevage too (pouts).
