Hey curvy girls all over the world,
It's Fierce Friday on Stylish Curves and today we are featuring budding plus size model Denise Bidot. Denise was picked this week because she is working it in the new Monif C. Holiday collection dresses. For the holiday season Monif went with a Sex and The City theme and we like it. The holiday collection dresses are named for each of the Sex and The City characters. I love Denise's youthful and fresh look in the photos. The fiery red hair just spices everything up.

Hey curvy girls all over the world,
Yesterday, I was at Macy's Herald Square for the Vince Camuto apparel launch. I shared with you last month that the brand had an amazing fall collection that included plus sizes (Read Here). I'm still dreaming about that gold sequin sweater and leopard print skirt. As far as I knew, the collection was only available at Nordstrom, well, it's now available at Macy's. Vince Camuto himself was on hand at Macy's Herald square signing autographs and sharing the new collection with shoppers. The collection is on the 3rd floor at Macy's on 34th street. If you want to see more looks from the Vince Camuto fall collection go to www.vincecamuto.com. Many of the looks for straight sizes are available in plus at Nordstrom's.

I didn't stay long because my feet were killing me, but, I managed to get a few snapshots:

Love the sequin top and shorts combo

Hey curvy girls all over the world,
We are back with another stylish curvy girl on the streets of NYC. Yesterday I was at Macy's checking out the launch of Vince Camuto apparel when I ran into wardrobe stylist and personal shopper Cathy Mallebranche. I thought Cathy looked super cute in her fit and asked her to give me the details of her look. Especially that leather vest.

Here's her Fit details:
Leather Vest-DKNYC
Striped ruched sleeve top-ABS
Leggings-INC
Boots:Steve Madden
Earrings-Poparazzi

What do you think of Cathy's look?

Hey curvy girls all over the world,
Yesterday was another nice early fall day. Breezy, but not too cold. I thought it would be a good idea to break out my leather pencil skirt I got from Jessica London last year. It's a little snugger this year due to some extra snacking, but with a little grease and spanx, I made it fit. :). I wore the skirt to Fall Fashion Week 2010 with a tweed jacket (seen here). I wanted an easy yet sharp look for work, so I wore it with the red tie neck blouse I bought from Avenue. The look is simple, but the bright red against the black really pops (in my opinion). Anytime I wear a simple look, I like to incorporate a pair of fun shoes to make the look more interesting, so I wore my leopard print Michael Kors pumps with it.
I try not to be matchy matchy with jewelry, but these red and black tribal print earrings from Forever21 looked pretty good with it. The tie neck blouse is going to be a wardrobe staple for me. I would wear it even if it wasn't on trend. The Avenue top is cute, I just wish the tie was longer in an obnoxious way, so it could standout more. I'm thinking about getting the purple color in it too.

What will be your fall work staple?

Hey curvy girls all over the world,
Yesterday was such a beautiful fall day. Not too cold and not too warm. I thought the weather called for and outfit that represented a little bit of spring and a little bit of fall. I decided to wear my second favorite piece from the One Stop Plus spring 2011 collection, which is this off white leather biker jacket. Can I just say that this jacket is all that and a bag of chips (corny, I know!).
The jacket was gifted to me from The OSP team earlier this year. I never wore it because I became so smitten with the OSP collection pink blazer (seen here & here), that I kind of forgot all about this jacket.
The jacket actually popped into my mind when I bought this Rachel Rachel Roy dress at Macy's. I'm a huge fan of Rachel Roy especially when she goes on sale at Macy's. I scooped up this little Eco friendly pleated dress in a salmon color. Rachel Roy does not do plus but some of her pieces are cut for the girl with a little or in my case a lot of meat on her bones. Once again, as plus size women we must try things on. When I first saw the drees, I was getting ready to write it off because I assumed it wasn't going to fit around my hips, but, I know better than to just write something off without trying it on and I am glad I did. When I tried it on and I that sucker fit over my hips without Spanx, I grabbed it with the quickness because it was the only XL left.  I looooove this dress and the pleated details. It's so feminine but has a sophisticated aura about it.
I thought the jacket and the dress would be a perfect combination for a day like yesterday. I completed my look with another over looked item in my closet which are theses snakeskin print sandals by Calvin Klein. They were buried in the back of my closet and oddly enough when I was pulling the dress out so I could iron it, the shoe box fell on me. Go figure!
I felt so cool and chic yesterday, you couldn't tell me anything. Stay tuned to SC this week for event recaps and new fall collections to be on the lookout for.

What I'm Wearing
Dress: Rachel Rachel Roy
Jacket: OSP Collection
Shoes: Calvin Klein
Clutch: Stolen from my momma
Bracelets: Loft & Mom
Earrings:Forever21

Hey curvy girls all over the world,
On Friday I did my normal lunch break shopping. I hit up the Aldo's store that was near my office. We all know Aldo's has very trendy sometimes pinch your feet shoes, but I think people really sleep on the amazing accessories and handbags that they offer. I told you before that I was building up my handbag wardrobe so I decided to checkout and see what Aldo's had to offer and boy am I glad I did.

I found leopard print clutches and ostrich leather totes. They even had a nice assortment of faux fur bags which were quite fancy looking. I didn't purchase anything because I left my coupon at home. Hopefully all the cute bags won't be gone when I comeback with my coupon.

If an Aldo's is not near you, then checkout their site for some of these uber chic bags. Go to Aldo's.com
