Hey curvy girls all over the world,
Hope everyone is enjoying there Saturday. I for one am just relaxing and catching up on some house work. This week I wore one of my hidden treasures that was found in the back of the closet. I am telling you, when you clean out your closets you find so many things that you wore once or twice and never looked at them again.
That was the case with this striped skirt. I bought this striped skirt last year from the Norma Kamali Walmart line. Some of you may remember when I wore it with the matching Norma Kamali sheer blouse (seen here).
This time I decided to wear it with some of my basic pieces like this Jones New York non-iron white button up shirt and my old faithful cropped double breasted jacket from NY&CO. If you follow me on Twitter and Facebook, then my ankle boots may look familiar to you. These are my new heels from Bakers shoes. As the weather gets cooler I like to wear alot of ankle boots, especially with my skinny jeans and short skirts.
I got the boots on sale at during Cyber Monday. It's been years since I shopped in Bakers but ever since I signed up for Shoeternity I think I have rekindled our relationship. As you get older ad as your checks increase sometimes it's so easy to forget about those stores that kept you fly when you were on a limited budget and Bakers shoes was definitely one of those stores.
I wore my usual silver accessories, hoops and earrings from Forever21, bracelets from Ashley Stewart, and cocktail ring from Avenue.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Hey curvy girls all over the world,
Happy Friday! We are back with Fierce Friday and today's fierceness comes from curvy model on the rise Katya Zharkova. She is what some might call the Russian bombshell. Katya was the cover girl for Plus Model Magazine's November 2011 issue where she worked her curves in a black Dominique Auxilly dress. Katya is a Wilhelmina model and has been featured in Elle magazine, modeled for Forever21 plus, and a host of other apparel brands.

Hey curvy girls all over the world,
The Queen is back. Our favorite plus size celebrity Queen Latifah graces the cover of Essence Magazine's January 2012 issue and we couldn't be more excited and proud. Over the past year Latifah has had her hand in everything from starring film roles like Just Wright to launching her own clothing line via HSN. The January issue dishes with the queen about her rise from the streets of NJ to being a Hollywood star and power player. A position that is not easy to obtain especially when you're a woman and a black one at that.
Now, can Amber Riley be next in line to snag an Essence cover? Just saying!
The January issue hits newsstands this week and you know I am on the hunt to find who made her red dress.
What do you think about Queen Latifah's cover?

Hey curvy girls all over the world,
I love when we see our favorite curvy and plus size celebs doing their thing on the red carpet. This week curvy girls Amber Riley and Jordin Sparks were showing the paparazzi how the curvy girls get down when it comes to red carpet style.
Take a look at what they wore:
Amber Riley at The Trevor Live event looked absolutely, positively fabulous in all sense of the word in a long sleeve bright orange flared dress which I believe to be this lattice dress from Dorothy Perkins and a pair of raspberry suede pumps, complete with a gold skinny belt. Do it Amber!
Jordin Sparks went for sparkles on an all white carpet at the American Country Awards in a silver sleeveless dress and nude sandals.
Oh, don't they just make you proud?
Sound off, tell SC what you think about these looks

Hey curvy girls all over the world,
Make room in your closet for new denim line Milk & Cookey Jeans. A few months back I had the opportunity to speak with designer and creator of Milk & Cookey denim Ty Carson who was extremely passionate about his new denim line Milk & Cookey. Married to a full figured woman Ty noticed the frustrations his wife was having with finding quality fitting jeans for her curves. After discussions with his wife about her frustrations and tons of research Milk & Cookey jeans were born.
The new denim line boasts premium jeans that fit curvy women, with no space at the waist. If you're thinking that denim lines always say that, here's how MC jeans are combating the space at the waist. They've created their denim with a tapered waist. According to the brand, "The denim has enough stretch to accommodate the contour of curves."
Another added plus for Milk & Cookey jeans is that they range from size 4-24. Which means that you and your straight size friends could be rocking the same jeans. In addition to an array of sizes they even come in two lengths, regular and long. A long length is a major plus since most denim lines have an inseam of 32-33 inches. Their long is 36 inches and the regular is 34 inches. You should also know that they use curvy and plus size models to showcase their denim, which is good, because you will have a visual idea of how the jeans will fit your curves.
For more information go to www.milkandcookeyjean.com
If you would like to purchase a pair of Milk & Cookey denim check them out on Ebay or their Facebook page Milkandcookey jeans

Hey curvy girls all over the world,
I love non traditional plus size pants. Lately ASOS Curve has been quite a snooze but these ASOS Curve Lace Pants would be a nice change to the traditional black skinny leg pant.
Lately I've been craving for sequin sweaters and this J. Crew Sequin Sweater will be perfect for those at home holiday get together's. It's enough to make me standout but not look over dressed.
When I'm going out with my girls this Topshop sequin animal body cross bag will be able to hold my makeup bag, wallet, and keys. The cross body style will make me feel secure and take away the fear of a holiday thief trying to snatch my bag.
Swooning over these Alexander McQueen Suede Boots. Seriously, these are perfection and a pretty penny. But, it's well worth it. These are what i call conversation starters.
I love over sized and shoulder skimming earrings. These Uneven Disco Drop Earrings from Topshop will look stunning against my chocolate complexion and a chic up do.
This would be my perfect Christmas party or New Years Eve dress. The ASOS Metallic Jacquard Dress is sexy and chic. Might I add that the color will make any complexion glow.
I am really into bib necklaces right now. They instantly glam up any look and can make a plain shirt look amazing. Blue Bijoux Onyx Bib Necklace is a wonderful accessory for holiday parties. I think I may just try this with a button up shirt paired with those lace pants from ASOS Curve.
There you have it. My holiday party wishlist. What's on yours?

Hey curvy girls all over the world,
Yesterday was such a beautiful fall day. I woke up feeling great. I had a few places to visit yesterday and opted for a chic blazer look. As I told you guys before I have been making an effort to wear clothes that sit in the back of my closet. Remember earlier this year I wore this blue blazer from Monroe and Main (Seen here), well since then, I have not worn this blazer much. I decided to revive it and create a fall look built around my new beret I purchased at Strawberry's which has awesome accessories.
I wore the blazer over an orange Fashion to Figure draped pocket dress and a statement necklace that was gifted to me by JCPenney. To complete my look I chose to breakout one of my fave pair of suede boots from Banana Republic and the faux fur top handle bag I recently bought from Aldo's. This is slightly a different look for me, which I happen to like. I will admit that I do get nervous when I wear something that I'm not sure about and people stare at me. I never know if they're thinking wow, she looks great or girl, what were you thinking. Nevertheless, I am confident enough in myself to not care too much what people think.

Hey curvy girls all over the world,
Christmas and New Years will be here before you know it. As the days zoom by and holiday invitations roll in every girl is looking for those perfect holiday pieces to make them standout. All this week we will be showcasing our favorite holiday pieces to help you find or get an idea to help you create your perfect holiday look.
When we think of the holidays we think of glitter, sequins, satins, and furs. Basically anything that makes us feel magical and look whimsical. The first thing in our holiday style guide is anything metallic. We love that shiny material for making a girl look and feel like she's a shining star.
We have found 8 pieces that we think will be the fix to your metallic cravings.
The Gap has created a super cute metallic mini that would go perfect with a velvet blazer or black sheer blouse. Monif C. has channeled a plus size Carrie Bradshaw with her metallic ruffled dress. Dorothy Perkins has a few casual to dressy metallic pieces like the metallic skinny jeans and draped front sleeveless top. Michael Kors makes a cool looking metallic silk blend tweed jacket that is begging to be worn with black skinny leather pants. No holiday look is complete without a few shiny accessories. We love the turquoise metallic heels from Michael Antonio, the small handheld clutch from Jessica Simpson, and for the girl that's not so into metallics, try it on your nails with YSL's metallic holiday nail polish.

Hey curvy girls allover the world,
For me, weekends are all about cozy sweaters. I personally like to wear my sweaters with heels for an understated sexy look. That was the case today. Lately I've been rummaging through my clothes and figuring out ways to revive some of my old pieces. One of my favorite sweaters was this belted gold sparkling sweater I got from Loft about 4 years ago.
This sweater was my everything. I wore it alot throughout the holiday season whenever I went to lo- key events or little get-to-together's. It has a subtle sparkling shine to it so it gives it a dressy look. However, it's the perfect kind of sweater even to just wear around the house over a tank top and pajama bottoms. To bring it back into my life I thought my leather pants by Anna Scholz from Simply Be would be a nice relaxed pairing. I utilize my Guess red pumps to add a pop of color to my most simplest of outfits and this look was no exception. I kept my accessories gold to play off the color of the sweater.

Hey curvy girls all over the world,
Would you rock a pair of leopard print pants? Leopard print pants are a fun way to inject some edginess into your wardrobe. Celebrities from Kimora Lee to Vanessa Hudgens have all been seen donning a pair of leopard print pants.
Since they stand out on their own you can keep tops and jackets simple. Currently the print is popular on skinny leg pants and jeans. I don't know about you but I can't imagine a pair of leopard print wide leg jeans. Can you? That may be just a little too much. The skinny leg is the perfect leg style to rock this print on.
We say, go on and get your Peg Bundy on and try a pair of leopard print pants.
