CELEBRITY STYLE FOR CURVES: THE JENNIFER LOPEZ SPRING STYLE

Hey curvy girls all over the world,
Jennifer Lopez is one of the baddest looking 40 something year old's in Hollywood. Since she stepped on the scene as Selena and with her mega hit album "On The 6," J. Lo has had the world mesmerized with her signature style and diva swagger.

Personally, I'm a big fan of Jennifer Lopez. From movies to music I always want to see her win. Most of all, I'm obsessed with her personal style. The curvy Latina never misses a step when it comes to her sexy attention grabbing looks.

When she got the American Idol gig, I was so excited because I knew she was going to bring it with her outfits and she has never disappointed. This spring season J. Lo has been heating it up by rocking bright colored body con dresses from Michael Kors and sporting some serious heels from the likes of Charlotte Olympia and Brian Atwood.

Since plus size fashion is still catching up with the trends, we thought it would be a great idea to show you how to get a little J. Lo swag for your plus size curves. We picked out 3 of our favorite spring  looks from Jennifer and recreated them with your plus size curves in mind.

Get Jennifer Lopez's celebrity style for your curves:

Neon is a huge spring 2012 trend and J. Lo worked her curves in a neon yellow Michael Kors dress an a sassy pair of pink patent pumps from Casadei. To get this look in plus size, we think Monif C's Whitley neon green cutout shoulder dress packs an equal amount of punch as the Michael Kors dress. Aldo's "Fravel" pumps  are a much more affordable option then the pricey Casadei heels. Take the look up a notch with a silver spiked bracelet.

Get Jennifer's saucy hot pink look with Talbots knee length long sleeve dress. To get the split effect take the dress to your tailor and have them add a split to your liking. T-strap sandals are sexy and sophisticated, Michael Kors has a great pair for under $200. J.Lo loves her oversized hoop earrings. Try a pair with pave crystal like these from Vince Camuto.

When J. Lo is not wearing a sultry head turning dress, she still knows how to keep things chic in a pair of colored trousers and a classic white cowl neck top. Get her same sophisticated look with a pair of green pleated trousers from ASOS Curve, a sleeveless white cowl neck top from Calvin Klein plus, and go for the splurge with a pair of Charlotte Olympia platform slingback pumps.

Well, there you have it.  What do you think of our J. Lo spring looks for plus size curves?

I love the green pants. Would like to wear it immediately :-)

This is really a great blog and I love the concept that it wants to bridge the gap between straight and plus sizes, because that's what I am ;-) I'm a curvy woman and proud ;-)
