STYLE JOURNEY: PEPLUM CHIC

Hey curvy girls all over the world,
Today is going to be a scorcher here in NYC. It's ok because I have been dying for the weather to really warm up. Today I decided to take my black and white striped dress from Fashion to Figure for a spin.

Next to colorblocking, the peplum trend is one of my favorites for 2012. I've recently bought quite a few pieces that I can't wait to wear. Incorporating the peplum trend into work attire is something I had been looking to do. When I found this dress via a random search, I knew it was just the right piece I needed for the office.

The skirt hits slightly above the knee which I am ok with and so is my office. The corporate world is not like it used to be, where you had to wear boxy suits or dresses and skirts below the knee. No, a mini is never ok. I teamed the dress up with my trusty red suede pumps to add a pop of color and I was ready to take on the day.

What I'm Wearing
Dress: Fashion to Figure (sold out) but checkout our steals/deals link for a FTF coupon code.
Shoes: Guess
Cuff: H&M
Earrings: Strawberry's
