PLUS SIZE WORK WEAR: ALISSA AT THE OFFICE

Hey curvy girls all over the world,
After the weekend I had, I managed to muster up some energy this morning and got dressed for work. Like many, we all have those mornings where we have no clue on what to wear. We feel like we need new clothes because we have already worn everything that is in our closet to death. At least, that's the case with me. For the past couple of months I have been stocking up on printed tops to aid me on those mornings when I don't know what to wear. I find that a printed top under blazers or tucked into trousers and skirts are the easiest work ensembles to put together in a flash.

No, there's nothing new about this but when you're in a panic about what to wear to the office you'll be very surprised how often you omit a classic combo or don't even think of it at all. This red blazer is probably one of the best purchases I got from Faith 21 plus. I literally wear it at least once a week. This black pencil skirt from Torrid has the perfect length and it skims my body without me feeling restricted. I was going to just put a tank under the blazer but I decided to go for one of my printed tops which is actually a tunic to spice up my otherwise simple look.

This leopard print tunic from Evans has been the answer to a number of my, what to wear to work moments. And when I put it on, it automatically takes my look to the next level without sacrificing professionalism.

Little did I know, other women would perceive this outfit as quite dashing. As soon as I stepped out of my apartment, I received countless compliments from Brooklyn to 5th avenue in NYC.

Today's lesson: Never underestimate the power of a classic and simple outfit

What are you guys wearing to work today?
