Hey curvy girls all over the world,
It has been one scorching week in NYC. Where did this 90 degree weather come from all of a sudden?! Unfortunately, just because there is a heat advisory outside, we all still have to go to work. This week, I wanted to keep things cool and comfy for the office. When getting ready for work, I like to snatch and go. I also make sure that I wear comfy heels to travel to and from work. I find that platform sandals are the best.
This week, was all about separates and light airy fabrics. Getting on the hot NYC subway makes it feel like you're in a lit furnace, so light airy fabrics are the best way to go when taking mass transit.
Here's a look at this week's office chic looks:
Tuesday was all about the light and breathable shirt-dress. I revamped the look by swapping accessories. I thought a neon green woven belt from H&M and turquoise suede platforms from Vince Camuto and a gold choker would make the shirt-dress look a little more spring like. See the pictures I posted this week when I wore it a few months ago Here
Thursday, I went for a blouse and skirt combo again. I was running late and this was definitely a snatch and go outfit. I thought it came out pretty cute once I got to the office. I went for a purple pencil skirt from Faith21 plus, a cream pocket front blouse from LYS collection aka Kmart plus sizes, a multi strand pearl necklace, and tan Vince Camuto platforms. I pulled the look together with a brown medium width belt, my cat eye sunnies from H&M, and my gold Michael Kors shoulder bag.
There you have it, my office looks for the week.
As you can see separates are perfect for creating unique and classic office looks. For me accessories are what gives my looks character. I always try to wear cute heels or a bold necklace to make myself standout.
I figured showing the good outfits at the end of the week would be better than posting a single look everyday. What do you guys think about the office look weekly round up?
