STYLE JOURNEY: THE SUMMER JUMPSUIT

Hey curvy girl all over the world,

Let's talk jumpsuits. Jumpsuits are one of my favorite trends from the 70's. There's just something so chic and sexy about rocking an all in one. My favorite style icon from the 70's was Pam Grier.
She could rock a mean jumpsuit. If I was natural, I would have so sported a Foxy Brown afro with this jumpsuit. I wanted an easy casual yet dashing look for the weekend so, I pulled out this blue jumpsuit that I got from ASOS Curve. I love being able to just throw something on without having to do any extras.

Jumpsuits were extremely popular back in 2010. I remember when Forever21 plus first came out, I got my Pam Grier on and snatched up a halter one in black (seen here). 

This particular jumpsuit is very light weight. One-ply of polyester fabric. Normally, that would have bothered me but I thought the light weight fabric would probably keep me cool and feeling fresh opposed to a heavier fabric. When I got the jumpsuit in the mail, I was so happy that it was long enough. Although , I'm not super tall, sometimes jumpsuits can hit me at my ankle and last time I checked, I wasn't waiting for any floods. I also liked that it had an elastic drawstring waist so I was able to adjust it to my comfort level. 

I kept my look simple with a pair of tan platform ankle strap sandals from Vince Camuto and a pair of gold rimmed shades from Aldo. My H&M cuff  and pink jeweled elastic bracelet was just what I needed to complete my throwback look.
