STYLE JOURNEY WHAT I WORE TO MERCEDES BENZ NEW YORK FASHION WEEK DAY 1

Hey curvy girls all over the world,
So day one of fashion week is over and I had a blast. What I didn't enjoy was the sticky sometimes breezy weather that came with it. Fashion week can bring out some of the most craziest out of this world outfits or it can bring out some of the most chic-est ensembles from fashion lovers all over the world. Today, I decided to opt for a chic sophisticated look that included two popular trends.

I combined the peplum and floral trend for a cute put together look and thanks to Simply Be it was a hit. Simply Be was so kind to send me these floral print trousers and I honestly think they are such a cute pair of pants. I can dress them up or down and still look stylish. It was wayyyy too humid to rock my bang or even leave my hair out so I went with a slicked back ponytail and bold purple lip. Back in the day, the slick back used to be my go to, I never really did the top knot.

I wanted to wear a white tank with this but I didn't have one that draped well enough over the pants and my gut just didn't allow for tucking so I went with a black peplum top from Torrid and to define my waist under the blazer, I chose a Faith21 plus skinny cobalt blue belt.

As for accessories I went with the usual suspects, a cuff, chandelier earrings, and my Michael Kors watch. I was so shocked at the number of compliments I received on my look. Some liked it with the blazer a few liked it with just the peplum top. Nevertheless, I felt super comfy and now tonight, I will be thinking of what to wear tomorrow for day 2. Oh boy!

Not too shabby for a humid, sticky, day one of fashion week, no?
