Hey curvy girls all over the world,
There's no secret that I love pink and any variation of it. To me, the color represents all things feminine and girlie. I remember going through a phase where everything I owned had to pink. When I got my first apartment I wanted to paint the entire place pink. I wanted a pink comforter, pink sheets, all pink everything. After awhile, I realized I had to approach pink in an adult way. Which meant incorporating hints of it in my daily life. This spring/summer season, I've relapsed. I've been going pink crazy, as you've seen here in some of my outfit posts. Remember my pink suit?

It's to the point now that whatever I see in the color pink I have to have it. Last month, I fed my pink habit my purchasing this pink and purple floral body con skirt. The print was so strong and bold that I couldn't put it down. There were a number of ways that I could have worn this skirt but I like for certain prints to shine on their own. I teamed the skirt up with a basic crew neck tee and a pair of BCBG patent peeptoe pumps.

I went in overload mode by adding on one of my favorite pairs of shades from Kensie and a pink and purple jeweled plated necklace. To me, fashion is supposed to be fun and it's okay to pile it on every now again. This is a look I had fun wearing and although it's simple it keeps me grounded and lets me know not to take fashion so seriously.

What I'm Wearing

Skirt: Forever21
Shoes: BCBG

Hey curvy girls all over the world,
I hope everyone is enjoying the beautiful day. I'm so excited to say that its Stylish Curves 3 year anniversary. Yes! Can you believe it?! I've been blogging for 3 whole years. Cue Raphael Sadiqq's "It's our anniversary."

To show my gratitude and thanks to my beloved readers, I have lined up a few giveaways, all starting next week Monday.
As always, I like to keep it real with you. This year has been quite a challenging year for me as a blogger. I've had some Hi's and I've had some lows. There was a point where I wanted to stop blogging altogether but every time I tried to give it up, something kept pulling me back in. I enjoy coming up with creative posts to help make shopping for your plus size body a little easier. I enjoy being able to share with you what's going on in the fashion industry.

At some point this year I lost my way and didn't like the blogger I was becoming. I even at one point lost my love for blogging. As I am working on getting back to the reason I started blogging in the first place I am truly happy that I stayed in the game another round.

This year I hope and plan to take this blog to the next level. When it comes to blogging, my priority is what you the reader wants, so feel free to drop me an email or comment in the posts on what you would like to see more of.

Thank you so much for sticking with me and shouting me out when you see me in the streets. I am truly grateful for all of Stylish Curves readers. Thank you for sticking  with us these past  3 years.

Now, on to what I'm rocking. As seen in my haul video I am rocking the zebra print pants from Kmarts LYS collection. They're so comfy and  nice change from skinny jeans, although I still want a pair of printed skinnies. I was going to wear a black top or blazer with them but decided to amp things up with a red blazer and white v-neck t-shirt. This was a relaxed and casual outfit and I will be wearing these pants to death for the summer. I am already building up my tank collection to rock them with.

What I'm Wearing

Printed Pants: Kmart LYS
T-shirt: Old Navy

Hey curvy girls all over the world,
Whether you love her or hate her you can't deny Kim K's sexy chic wardrobe. Kim has the coveted hourglass shape. Ample bosom, a small waist, and full hips. No, she's not plus size or no where near it but in a society that's all about thin girls, Kim K's curves and how she dresses them has us smitten with her style. So, what can a plus size girl learn from Reality TV's biggest star? Well, in my opinion there's loads of style tips we can take away from the dark haired beauty.

Here's 6 of them:

Hey curvy girls all over the world,
Next to peplum and colorblocking the hi-low trend is also one of my favorites for 2012.

It's a combination of sexiness and sophistication. Modest in the back and sultry in the front. I chose to rock the trend in a classic color combo by teaming up a black hi-low skirt with a silk white and black polka dot shell from Loft.

This skirt is one of those pieces that you can dress up or down. I always choose to dress things up but on the weekends an off the shoulder tee or cropped top and flat or wedge sandals would look just as good.

When I get dressed I always think about how I want to feel in my clothes. Since yesterday was Mother's day, I wanted to project that I'm a young, vibrant, chic mommy. And that's exactly how I felt in this outfit.

What I am digging about the hi-low trend is that it will work well for even the most modest plus size woman. The length on this particular skirt shows just enough leg. My yellow heels will be a staple for spring and summer. I like for my shoes to be playful and fun no matter what I wear.

Are you guys into the hi-low trend?

Hey curvy girls all over the world,
I hope everyone had a wonderful Mother's Day. I know I did.

We are kicking off this Monday morning with a new collection from LaLa Belle. Now, I've featured La La Belle on here before for their 2010 Autumn collection (Read Here). LaLa Belle is a mid to high end Australian brand that caters to the edgy plus size fashionista. Their designs are sexy, seductive, and curve hugging.

This Autumn, they're continuing with the sexy but adding a bit of chic and casual styles to their collection. There's a suede fringe jacket, leather skirts, sheer tops, and casual long sleeve printed tops to help jump start your fall wardrobe.  Each look comes in sizes AUS size 12-26 and US Size 12-22.

Since the Australian brand is a little pricey with dresses starting at $300, they're making it easier for plus size women to afford their clothes by offering a lay-away aka Lay-by option. What! I know! You can purchase an item and via pay pal make payments on it. I know that is music to my ears.

Get an exclusive sneak peek at what's to come for fall and start saving up your pennies now.

For more looks and info on the Lay- by option visit www.Lalabelle.com

Hey curvy girls all over the world,
One of the most noticeable faces in the plus size modeling game is Tara Lynn. She is arguably one of the bigger curvy plus size models that plus size women can actually relate to and boy do we love to see her.
Recently the voluptuous model was spotted on the May cover of Italian Vanity Fair and she's giving serious face and showing off those killer curves.

Checkout how Tara Lynn is bringing it:

Hey curvy girls all over the world,
Weekend casual for me always involves a pair of skinny jeans, heels, and a cute top. It's my signature weekend look. For spring, I'm making the sheer oversized top my go to weekend staple. They're comfy and perfect when I want to give spanx a rest. I've probably bought too many of these tops already. I have them in every color.

This particular top is from Kmart's LYS line. I loved the tiny little flowers on it and green is a color that works well with my complexion so I thought the top was a win win plus at $20 it was beyond a steal. As I said in my video, you can practically wear this top with anything. I personally like oversized tops over a fitted bottom. So I would even tuck this into a pencil skirt.

I picked up the yellow in the top with my suede peeptoe heels from Aldo and completed the look with my straw clutch.

And there you have it, weekend casual.

Are you into the sheer oversized top trend?

Happy Mother's Day everyone!

What I'm Wearing
Top: Kmart LYS
Shoes: Aldo
Bag: Mom
Belt: Fashion to Figure

Hey curvy girls all over the world,
Just wanted to share a quick little post with you before the sun went down. It's Friday and its date night. Finally the rain broke and I'm going to enjoy the evening with my boo. I thought peplum would be a dressy casual look for the evening and it case it gets chilly, I'm taking my blazer with me. Peplum is one of my favorite trends this season and I just can't get enough of it.

Hey curvy girls all over the world,
This week, I swung by the OneStopPlus fall preview in midtown. While, my mind is still on all these spring, I was quite impressed with this years fall collection from OSP. Each year they get better and better at offering more on trend styles with modern cuts and shapes. For fall 2012 OSP cranked out quite a few heavy impressive styles for the plus size woman.

Hey curvy girls all over the world,

Hey curvy girls all over the world,
When you're a mom and girlfriend with a full time job and a hobby that can be dubbed a part time job, your time is precious. Every minute and every second counts. When I shop for clothes, often times I am looking for pieces that will work double duty. I need items that can have me looking sharp and put together for work and sexy and chic for evening. Sometimes it can be a challenge finding that piece but when I do, my life seems to be a little more easy and my mornings seem to go a whole lot smoother.

When I think of plus size brands that actually create clothes for the woman on the go, Igigi always comes to mind. The clothes are made from quality fabrics and the cuts are always figure flattering. In my review of their latest collection I said that Igigi is one of few plus size life style fashion brands. They offer clothes that can carry you to the office and then out for cocktails.

My lifestyle requires a wardrobe that does just that. At work, I like to look professional yet young and chic and for nights when I have blog events or cocktail parties to attend, I like to wear pieces that skim my curves and show a little skin. In comes Igigi "Kaori" dress.
The Kaori dress is one of those pieces that are a must not only for your everyday wardrobe but it's a fantastic item to pack in your suitcase for business and vacation trips.  I liked how the Kaori dress could be styled a myriad of ways. It can go from a dress to a top, to a skirt with just a tuck of a sleeve.

For work, I teamed it up with a casual wide stretch leather belt, a colorful plated necklace, and pink colorblocked suede platform heels.
For those after work events and cocktail hour, I was able to easily turn the dress into a one shoulder style. Now, I know people tell plus size girls to belt everything, but sometimes, I don't want to belt it.For a spring evening, I chose to spice it up with a pair of gold and cream zebra print sandals, a gold and purple necklace, and a gold cuff.
I could easily fit all the accessories in my work bag and in a matter of minutes be ready for cocktail hour.

The fit and feel of the dress was extremely comfortable, perfect for a mom and fashion blogger like me.

You can view the Kaori dress at

What do you guys think?
