It's been awhile since I've worn my pink pleated skirt and since the weather was so breezy and spring like on Saturday, I decided to throw it on. Last time, I wore it with a neon yellow knit sweater (seen here) and this time I decided to team it up with a print. I went for this cutout back Geo striped top and chain link necklace to give the skirt a whole new look.

Hey curvy girls all over the world,
You know
exactly what dress you're wearing, you know exactly what you're going to do with
your hair. But you are lost when it comes to what accessories to wear. Think
simple when your shopping for evening accessories.

Hey curvy girls all over the world,
It's been a minute since I've snapped a curvy cutie on the street but I thought it would be a good time to bring the feature back. While lunch break shopping today I ran into curvy cutie Jasmine who rocked a body con Aztec print dress from Kmart. I thought she looked super cute and casual with her natural fro and aviator sunnies.
What do you think?

Hey curvy girls all over the world,
Next to where did you get your shoes from, the question that I'm asked the most, especially during the summer months is where do you shop for strapless bras. Ever since I became a D-cup in high school wearing supportive bras has always been important to me. I never wanted to be the girl who had saggy boobs and definitely not saggy boobs while wearing a bra.

Hey curvy girls all over the world,
I was super excited when I was contacted by online magazine Feel More Better to participate in their Story Tees campaign entitled "Not Photo Shopped." You guys know that I want nothing more than for women to appreciate and accept what they see in the mirror and to not become jaded by what the society feels we should look like, so of course I had to be part of this campaign.
Feel More Better magazine has created a t-shirt collection called "Story Tees" which displays positive and empowering messages. With each t-shirt purchased Feel More Better gives a new book to an underprivileged girl.
In their own words, "One tee that resonates with many women and girls is "Not Photo Shopped", a
message that targets a major issue in media today. In an effort to take the
message further, they created the Media and Public Health Act which aims to pass
federal legislation requiring advertising and editorial that meaningfully change
the human form through photoshopping or airbrushing to carry "Truth in
Advertising" labels.
To aid Feel More Better in their Not PhotoShopped campaign they've partnered with Style Caster to host 50 female influential blogger's to spread the word about this powerful movement.
To find out more information and purchase a Story Tee visit Feel More Better/Story Tees HERE
Please feel free to like them on Facebook tweet them @feelmorebetter and use the hashtag #feelmorebetter to join in on the conversation
You can also enter to win the t-shirt I'm wearing by just leaving your name and email in the comment section below. The contest will end today at 11:59pm.

Hey curvy girls all over the world,
I may be a few days late on sharing this groundbreaking, eye popping, jaw dropping photo of a naked size 20 model strutting down the streets of Berlin Fashion Week due to some email issues. Last week, I received an email from Navabi, the high end designer online shopping site for plus size women informing me about a new campaign called "Finally Navabi." The campaign was designed to get the attention of the fashion industry to let them know that women above a size 12 deserve the same fashion as a woman who are a size 8. Seeing this gorgeous size 20 model would get anyone's attention, right?!
Navabi is placing a much needed focus on the disadvantages that a size 14+ woman faces when it comes to fashion. You guys know exactly what they're talking about, unflattering cuts, outdated styles, and cheap fabrics that are over priced. This campaign is showing a plus size woman in all her glory on the search for fashion in her size.
According to Navabi:
" This is not an attack on the fashion industry. It is quite the contrary. It was and is a call, an offer, for a closer cooperation with designers, labels, and for everybody who wants to actively participate in a better future."
All I have to say is kudos to Navabi and the model for having the guts to make such a bold statement when it comes to the lack of fashion for plus size women. I feel that the world thinks we are aliens from Mars that don't belong. Plus size women (and men) are often treated as irrelevant in the fashion industry. They think they can just give us any old garment and we should be happy with it. It's important for us as plus size shoppers to command and demand what we want from designers. We must be able to articulate what we want and will not go for. Why shouldn't we as plus size women have options that fit every aspect of our lifestyle? Why shouldn't we as plus size women be respected and not gawked at as if we don't deserve to have the finest in designer fashion. There is absolutely no reason and that's the message Navabi is sending to the fashion industry.
To see more of the photos and to find out more information about the campaign go HERE
What do you think about Navabi's campaign? Do you think the fashion industry will take notice?

For those of you that have been following me for awhile know that I like clothes that can work double duty. So, for my second look, I chose to create an ensemble that I could pass off as an office look.
Since the dress was made of jersey material, I felt a bright colored blazer is exactly what I needed to make this cocktail number work appropriate. To pull the look together, I added a skinny patent leather belt, crystal drop earrings, and a pair of leopard print pumps.
Those are my two looks. The cutout mesh details is what really gives this dress a kick. I love it!
For participating in the challenge Tadashi Shoji is offer SC readers a 20% discount on this Cutout Jersey Boatneck Dress that I'm wearing and also a 20% discount in the longer version. Just use code: STCU20 when you click on the following links:

Hey curvy girls all over the world,
After sharing with you Tadashi Shoji's new online plus size boutique a few weeks ago, the Tadashi Shoji team asked me to be part of a style challenge they were working on. Me and quite a few other blogger's were sent a super chic cocktail dress in black to put our own personal spin on it. The dress they picked for us was the "Cutout Jersey Boatneck Cocktail dress in black" I was super excited about it because it actually was one of my favorite dresses from the fall 2012 collection.

The cutout boatneck dress is what I call a real LBD. The detailing is nothing short of amazing. When you get a dress that has an impeccable cut and standout details you don't need anything to dress it up but some accessories and dope shoes. So, for my first look, that's what I did. The dress is already sharp and eye catching on its own so I simply added my yellow ankle strap suede heels, a gold cuff, a yellow studded bracelet, and a pair of gold chandelier earrings to amp up my look.

Hey curvy girls all over the world,
It is such a beautiful morning, especially in the fashion world. On the heels of announcing that Lucky Brand will be offering plus size denim, I am pleased to announce that Rachel Roy finally debuted her HSN line and it encompasses the great design and style that she offers in her high end line.

I hope you guys are enjoying the holiday too and Happy 4th of July!
Yesterday was a short and slow day at the office due to the July 4th holiday. I had plans to meet up with my sister and brother in law after work and needed to wear something that was transitional for work and for after work. I decided to go with a striped sleeveless dress that I could dress up for the office and also wear out for lunch with the fam.
At The Office
For the office I threw on a pink one button blazer to make the dress look professional.
After Work
To meet up with my family for lunch, I just nixed the blazer, threw on my cat-eye sunnies and was ready to go have some fun and enjoy the holiday.I hope you guys are enjoying the holiday too and Happy 4th of July!
What I'm Wearing

Hey curvy girls all over the world,
When we talk about denim, I feel like everyone is always focused on jeans and forgets all about the denim skirt. For as long as I can remember I've been a gigantic fan of denim skirts. For me, a pencil denim skirt is ridiculously sexy, chic, and timeless. It's as much a classic as a white button up shirt, but somehow it manages to get thrown in the trend pile.

Hey curvy girls all over the world,
A few months back I had the opportunity to visit the home studio of the designers of plus size fashion line F3 aka Full Figured Fashionista. You may remember F3 from their huge debut in Plus Model Magazine back in October of 2011. Since then the design duo Suchi and Anjula has been creating quite a buzz. They produced a sold out fall 2011 collection and now they are back with a spring/summer collection that boasts versatility and comfort. The new collection carries a slogan that reads, "Fits your curves. Fits your lifestyle"
After receiving positive feedback from buyers the designing team went back to the lab and created a collection that works for every area of a plus size woman's life. The new collection provides brightly colored separates that include draped faux wrap dresses, tulip skirts, jumpsuits, and over sized blouses that can all be worn from day to night. Suchi and Anjula didn't want to just display their dresses for you to buy, they came up with a cool campaign that put their styling skills to use by showing you different ways you can wear each of their pieces.
F3's S/S 2012 collection is now available for purchase and affordable with nothing over a $100.
You can purchase the S/S 12 collection by visiting their website www.shopf3.com HERE
Checkout a few pieces from their collection below and tell SC what you think about it.

Oh man the this heat is having no mercy on us. I have been drinking like a fish out of water. It's so hot I don't even have an appetite. I've seriously been eating cereal for dinner for the past couple of days. As far as getting dressed goes, it's been all about separates for me lately.

Hey curvy girls all over the world,
This week has been quite a crazy one for me. I feel like I didn't have enough time to do anything. Look at how late I'm posting today! Work has been kicking my butt and my home life has been super busy with my little munchkin graduating to Pre-K and me trying to plan our family summer activities. I didn't snap a lot of office looks this week because they weren't that great and after Monday's monsoon and the sweltering heat I just didn't have the time or mind to put great looks together. Nevertheless, I did come up with two office chic looks.
So, I chose to just post two of my best office looks this week. They both were in the black and white family. Monday I opted for a striped pencil skirt from Torrid and yellow ankle strap pumps completed with a black draped cardigan and lace puff sleeved top layered under it.
Tuesday, I was very classic and simple with a white pussy bow blouse from Jones New York and a black pencil skirt from Torrid. I added a little interest to the look with a pair of leopard print pumps from Call it spring shoes.
BTW- Eshakti is having a major sale. Don't forget you get 15% off with code Stylishcurves15 go to www.eshakti.com to use it.
Hope you guys have a great weekend.
