Hey curvy girls all over the world,
It's the second week of August and we are already craving fall pieces. We have started our fall wish lists and we can't wait to get these 10 uber chic fall plus size styles from Simply Be.
Yes, it's still hot and humid and it will be at least another 2 months before we start to feel that cool 50 degree weather, but, in order to create the best fall wardrobe ever, we need a head start.

Fall is rapidly approaching and we can't wait, especially since August is so ridiculously humid. The thought of sunny breezy days and wearing pieces with warm rich dark hues kind of gets us excited about the upcoming fall season. As stores are having massive sales on their summer apparel they're slowly advertising fall designer collections that strengthens our anticipation for the fall season to hurry up and get here. Let's face it, we're done with the summer heat.

You know every summer there is always that one article of clothing that you just can't get enough of. Somehow its the answer to all your style conundrums. Well, this yellow ruffled hi-low dress is all that for me.  Since we are embarking on the end of summer I need clothes that keep me cool and confident. While doing a little weekend shopping a few weeks ago, I found this pretty cute exposed ruffled zipper dress at Ashley Stewart. Now, I am not a frequent shopper of Ashley Stewart but I do go in for a visit from time to time.

Yesterday while going to my Blogher12 fashion show rehearsal I spotted  plus size cutie Liz from the blog Six Year Itch who was rocking a heart printed forever 21 plus size dress, a sequin bag, and red locks.

SAY WHAT! STEVE HARVEY WOMEN'S COLLECTION WILL DEBUT AT K&G SUPERSTORE AND INCLUDE PLUS SIZES

Happy Friday! Today's post came as a surprise and all credit should be given to Kim "Philli" of The Curvy Spot for putting me on to this shocking fashion news. Steve Harvey will debut a women's collection that will include misses and plus sizes. Yes, Steve Harvey who wrote the book Think Like A Man, Act Like A Lady. Yes, the same Steve Harvey who is one of the Kings of Comedy. I know, I can't believe it myself. We all know that Steve Harvey loves a good suit and is always looking clean and sharp when he wears his, but am I wrong for asking, what does he know about women's fashion?

Well, apparently Steve is conveying he knows a little something something. Of course he enlisted the help of his daughters to put together a wearable line of dresses and separates that include color blocked and animal print dresses, double breasted jackets, colored denim, and bright colored suits. The tag line for his women's collection reads "Fashion that works for the office and beyond." Steve's women's line will be available at K&G fashions superstore online and in store on August 21st. Sizes will range from 8-24.

There is a K&G superstore across the street from my office on 41st and Lexington. I will be sure to go in and try some stuff on and let you guys know what the fit is like.

This week, funny girl Kim Coles was spotted at GLAAD'S " Bravo Top Chef Invasion benefit" rocking a Rachel Pally printed dress. The natural haired beauty looked bohemian chic in Rachel's "White Compass Lita dress" with a black obi belt and hoop earrings.

PLUS SIZE DESIGNER JIBRI UNVEILS THEIR FALL 2012 COLLECTION

I love when the fall season is on its way because we get to see what some of our fave plus size designers are going to come up with to keep our curves looking chic. Last week I shared with you Anna Scholz's white label fall collection and today I'm sharing with you Jibri's fall collection.

Chastity of The Curvy Girls Guide To Style posted some photos of the fall collection and I just had to share it with you. As usual Jibri always brings modern styles with trendy silhouettes and amazing prints. For fall 2012 Jibri's designer Jasmine Elder went with a black, gray, and purple color scheme and produced  jumpsuits, leather skirts, leather pants, and a bevy of knit, chiffon, and silk tops.

Jibri does fashion forward, trendy and chic styles for plus size women like no other.

It's no secret that I am a self proclaimed leopard print-a0holic. I literally can't go a week without wearing it. Whether it be in the form of clothes, shoes, or on accessories. One leopard print piece that has been on heavy rotation all summer is this leopard print tunic that I got from Evans. It just goes with everything. For work, I normally wear it under a blazer but this time I wore it on its own tucked into a hi-low skirt with a wide belt .
